Successful engine test for our newbuilds
A new update from the Chinese shipyard

The construction of the new barges, MTS Fortuna and MTS Felicitas, is in full swing. Meanwhile, we have also made progress with another crucial part of the process: the successful engine test of the GreenPower GPC32 generator set.
This generator set will be installed on MTS Fortuna, one of the future barges. The test, supported by Yerseke Engine Services B.V., marks an important step in meeting lower emissions than the European Stage V emission standards, thanks to its advanced after-treatment system.
This system significantly reduces soot particles, hydrocarbons, carbon monoxide and nitrogen oxides (NOx). The goal of the tests was to reach reductions of 99% NOx, 99% particles and 92% CO2-emissions.
Not only does this meet the strict European requirements of Stage V, more importantly, it contributes to a sustainable maritime industry.
A big thank you to all parties involved and to Provincie Zeeland for providing the grant that has made all of this possible. With this test completed, we can move forward with the installation and take the next steps towards delivering MTS Fortuna.
