AMS Barging expands fleet with MTS Solace

This year, we are growing from 12 to 17 vessels. With the arrival of the MTS Solace, we welcome the first addition to our fleet in 2026. An addition that directly responds to what our customers ask of us: more capacity, more flexibility, and more opportunities to operate intelligently.
The MTS Solace, formerly known as MTS Temptation, is a modern and versatile inland tanker that fits well with current market demands. With a tonnage of 2,646 tonnes and a maximum loading capacity of 3,003 m³, Solace offers ample opportunities for the transport of fuels, chemicals, and other components.
That is exactly where the added value of this addition lies. Solace gives AMS Barging more scope to serve customers not only in ARA, but also in Germany and Northern France. Thanks to the vessel’s size, we are even better positioned to respond to transport flows on the Rhine, where capacity, reach, and flexibility come together.
From a technical perspective as well, Solace is a valuable addition to the fleet. The vessel is equipped with 8 deepwell pumps, allowing us to load and discharge quickly and efficiently. Combined with its coated tanks, the vessel is suitable for a wide range of products.
So with MTS Solace, we are not just adding a vessel, but above all creating extra possibilities for our customers. More options in planning, more flexibility in execution, and more capacity on routes where it is needed.
